Wood and Clad Wood Windows

Wood windows and doors offer a natural wood style as well as energy efficiency.  You can order them with a number of options such as, true divided lights, simulated divided lights, various hardware finishes, and natural or primed wood finishes.  For a traditional look add exterior brickmould casing, flat casing, flat casing with backband and much more. Wood windows can be ordered in custom sizes to fit existing openings.  They are also available as Insert Kits that go into your existing frames without the need to remove interior and exterior trim.

A variation of the wood-framed window is to clad the exterior face of the frame with vinyl, aluminum, or fiberglass, creating a permanent weather-resistant surface.

Therefore, clad frames have lower maintenance requirements, while retaining the attractive wood finish on the interior. Vinyl and enameled metal claddings offer much longer protection to wood frames.  Clad wood products also offer exterior casings that are made of clad or extruded materials.  The casings can be added to give the units a more traditional wood look or to add charm to the exterior of your home.  Wood windows are durable, energy efficient and beautiful.
